To all club sports:

Officially recognized student groups and clubs may purchase merchandise (t-shirts, uniforms, etc.) displaying both the student organization’s name/logo and University trademarks for your club's use with permission of the Trademark Licensing Office.

University trademarks may not be altered and all merchandise must include the organization’s name/logo prominently on the product. Student organizations are required to use licensed manufacturers/printers for merchandise purchased for the organization’s use.

Student organizations who wish to use ASU marks on apparel and gift items must follow the steps and guidelines listed at this website: http://licensing.appst...udentgroup.html.

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me. When in doubt, please ask before you do anything. We will work with your club to make sure that what you are doing with university marks reflects positively on your team and the university. My contact information is listed below.

Flier Info

All fliers need to be sent to Erin and Michelle Henderson (Publicity Programmer) for approval. This is to make sure that you have all the correct informtaion on it.

If you are looking to post fliers in the dorm rooms you will need to contact Housing and Residence Life in the JET Building. If they approve you to post the fliers in the dorms you will need to print out the copies yourself, the JET Building will not do this for you. If you want to post fliers in any of the recreation centers they will have to be approved by Joe Carter.

Photo Competition

The photo compeitition is something that is going to be held every spring semester. Because of the amount of photos that was received, teams will be limited to send in 5 of their best photos maximum. The photo will be the "face" of clubsports for the next year to come. It will be put on the website, clubsports advertisement with UREC, fliers, Chronicle, etc.

This is a great utility if you are looking to publicize your team and get your name out there not only to the school but also to the general public.

Websites

Every team needs to be keeping up with their websites. This is where we send all people to with questions and this is what Erin refers to as well if she doesn't know the answer. All websites need to have an updated roster, tentative schedule, contact information, and team officers. This is a minimum of what teams should have on their sites. If you have any troubles with websites or just some questions please contact Michelle Henderson.
On all websites, if teams do include pictures there cannot be any vulgar pictures or party pictures. You are representing Appalachain State University and this is not appropriate.

Club Sports Chronicle

The Club Sports Chronicle is a bi-monthly newsletter that written by the teams/players themselves. It is sent out to all teams, club advisors, the Chancellor, and many more important people to Appalachian State. All articles should be sent to Michelle Henderson and shouldn't be more than a paragraph.
